How do you add a comment?
- First, refer to the LEGEND to understand the project alignment and segments on the project map below. Images and street sections are provided by clicking on the icons.
- Select your preferred MAP STYLE for better visibility and orientation. This is located either on the bottom bar if using a phone, or the left bar if using a computer.

- Locate the ADD COMMENT icon below on the map.

- Select a comment type from the selection provided.

- Zoom and search for the area to make the comment using your mouse’s scroll wheel or with two fingers on the phone.
- Pin by tapping on the area you would like to place the comment and select Done.
- Then write your comment, add an image (optional), and provide your email (this is hidden to the public). You might need to scroll down on the post if you are not finding the Email Address portion.
- Once the comment and email has been filled out, hit SAVE to post your comment. Once it has finished loading, hit the X exit sign on the top right to go back to the map view.

12-1:30pm | Gold Rush Path Community Walking Workshop
- Location: Meet at Woods Creek Park
Join us for a short walk and talk along a portion of the Gold Rush Path – Phase 1. Members of the project team will lead a brief tour, providing background information and sharing updates on the current development of this first phase of the path development. This is a great opportunity to see the project site in person and ask questions.
The walk will be under one mile, with a relaxed pace and low activity level. Snacks & water will be provided.

2-4pm | Open Doors!
- Location: TCTC Offices (975 Morning Star Drive, Suite A, Sonora)
Stop by anytime to meet the project team, provide your input, ask questions, or check in on the design ideas currently being explored. This informal, drop-in event will be the ultimate opportunity to hear the full background directly from the organization leading the effort. Gain insight into the full vision of the Gold Rush Path all at your own pace.
5-6pm | HOA/Neighborhood Focus Meeting
- Location: Columbia State Park Eagle Cotage (11195 Washington St, Columbia)
Residents living near the proposed Gold Rush Path are invited to learn more about the project, discuss ideas and ask questions. As neighbors to the future Path your input is especially important.
If you live along Parrott’s Ferry Road or Highway 49 between Columbia and Sonora, you are highly encouraged to attend this event to learn about the plans and providing your feedback so you are directly involved in shaping the design.

6:30-8:30pm | Gold Rush Path Introductory Workshop
- Location: Armory (208 S Green St, Sonora)
Attend this introductory workshop to gain a comprehensive overview of the Gold Rush Path project, including its history, potential benefits, preliminary design concepts, and various opportunities to get involved throughout the week and beyond. Participate in some tabletop activities to share your ideas for the future of the Gold Rush Path!

8-9:00am | Gold Rush Path Community Walking Workshop
- Location: Meet in downtown Sonora at the TCTC Transit Stop next to the Hotel Lumberjack
For those who want a preview of the Gold Rush Path in person, this is a second opportunity to walk a short portion of where the route will be and learn more about what’s ahead. Explore how the built environment can impact your comfort level while walking.

- Location: Sonora Oxygen and Medical Supply (220 W Stockton Street B, Sonora)
Join us for this special community walk, presented in partnership with Sonora Adventist Health. Discover how the Gold Rush Path will improve access to local health centers and wellness resources.
A short, guided walk will be led by a resident physician and medical staff, who will share insights on how the Path is designed to support a healthier, more connected community.

12:30-1:15pm | High School Student Design
- Location: Sonora High School
Join members of the project team for a hands-on, interactive session focused on placemaking and design ideas for the segment of the Gold Rush Path that will run through the school grounds.
Join members of the project team for an interactive experience to learn about the project, explore design options, and share your ideas to help shape the Path for all students.

- Location: Linoberg Alley in Downtown Sonora
Come chat with the project team and explore plans for the southern terminus of the Gold Rush Path, which will connect to the Chicken Ranch Rancheria along the historic railroad alignment. This is a great chance to have a casual conversation about the project’s progress, view concept boards featuring potential design elements, and speak directly with members of the design and planning team helping bring the vision to life.

5:30/6-8pm | Stories of the Gold Rush Path
- Location: Opera Hall (250 S Washington St, Sonora)
Join us for a community-centered storytelling event where local voices come together to share stories about the culture, history, and people connected to the areas along the future Gold Rush Path.
This will be a communal space for conversation, reflection, and connection. Come out to this event to hear from one another and explore how these stories can be honored through the Path’s design. We’ll discuss how themes can be expressed through art, interpretive elements, and other trail features that reflect the identity of our community. Come add your voice to the story!

9am-12pm | Community Open House Festival
- Location: Angelo's Hall (22738 Main Street, Columbia)
You’re invited to the big capstone celebration of the Gold Rush Path Visioning Days — a community festival that brings together the full vision of the Path, from Phase I to Phase VI!
This exciting event will feature booths and displays from representatives of all agencies involved in each phase of the project, illustrating the full route from Chicken Ranch Rancheria all the way to Columbia State Historic Park where the event will be held.
Explore the Path through interactive experiences, including:
- Virtual reality tools to visualize design ideas
- Mapping stations and other engagement activities to share your input
- One-on-one conversations with the project team and community members
